    1. Mr. Parker is stepping down as the vice president.
    Mr. Parker이 부사장직에서 물러 날겁니다.

    2. The employees are demanding that Ms. Cooper step down from her position.
    직원들은 Ms. Cooper가 그녀의 자리에서 물러날 것을 요구하고 있다.

    Application Practice 응용연습

    1. Easy: 그 스캔들 이후 그 CEO는 물러나도록 강요 받았다. (강요 받다 be forced to)
    Following the scandal, the CEO was forced to step down.

    2. Intermediate: Mr. Garcia는 회장직에서 물러나라는 여론의 압박을 받고 있습니다. (여론 public)
    Mr. Garcia is under public pressure to step down as the chairman.

    3. Hard: Ms. Lee는 원래 지난 달에 퇴임했어야 했는데 회사가 그녀의 후임자를 찾지 못했습니다. (~을 하기로 되어 있는 due to 동사, 대신할 사람 replacement)
