Britain’s young Prince George has attended his first ever royal engagement but he didn’t have to greet any dignitaries, just other babies in his own age. Prince George, certainly pretty photogenic and this was the big really of this whole tour, a play date organized in Government House here in Wellington. Local families, 10 of them, invited to bring their babies along, all of them about the same age as Prince George, and it all went pretty , only one incident to report, that was a little girl playing with a wooden block. Prince George decided he wanted the block. He took it. She screamed. Everyone , but the duchess and the duke weren’t expecting any apologies. I’m sure he misbehaves behind closed doors much more than he did today. Certainly, this was a big moment in this tour because it is Prince George’s first big tour and everyone wanted access to him and these are great pictures that are being beamed around the world, certainly doing a huge amount to help the popularity of the monarchy here in New Zealand and this part of the world.
